Mike Lee has spent most of his career as an Enterprise Architect and is currently Head of Enterprise Payment Solutions at Capital One, leading high-performing teams that design and deliver transformative enterprise payment solutions. His expertise spans various payment networks including ACH, Wire, Check, P2P, Direct Partnership, RTP, FedNow, and Debit Acceptance. With over 20 years of experience in IT and business consulting, Mike has worked across diverse industries such as banking, securities, legal, manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, and service providers.

Passionate about discovering “blue ocean” opportunities through value innovation, Mike leverages his broad expertise across multiple domains.   • Leadership & Strategy: Head of Enterprise Payments Architecture, managing a comprehensive payments modernization strategy and building a distributed, highly avaiable platform that handles ~2.1B transactions and moving ~$6 trillion annually. Successfully led the migration of payment platforms from on-prem data centers to the cloud, innovation leveraging microservices and serverless technologies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Established a cloud resiliency program to meet OCC regulatory requirements, leveraging serverless chaos engineering to reduce incidents and total cost of ownership (TCO). Provided governance oversight for architecture and coding decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
